The whole idea of going on a diet is to regulate the intake of your food and exercise adequately. But this idea is often misunderstood where people think starvation with a crash diet and no exercise is the best option to lose weight! Sensible weight loss programs go by the rule that the human body needs food to function and thus, keeping a track on your calorie intake, avoiding the practice of overeating, drinking ample amounts of water and designing an exercise regime is what they would suggest.

7 Daily Tips to Prevent Acne
Learning how to prevent acne is an important step towards having clear skin. Here are seven daily tips you can use to prevent and treat acne.
People who have acne often need to take care of their skin so their condition doesn't worsen. Preventing acne requires you to learn and develop good health habits such as keeping your skin clean, reducing mental stress and getting enough sleep.
Here are seven daily tips you can use to prevent acne:
1. Avoid the excessive extraction of acne and blackheads
Excess pressure on your skin during the extraction of acne blackheads brings about the breakage of the sebaceous follicle, which is full of microorganisms. This tends to spread the acne infection to other parts of your skin, not to mention that this will cause pustules that leave permanent acne scars.

A New Biology of Health?
A review of an incredible health promoting product- Supergreens.
I remember going to a UK version of a Tony Robbins type seminar, and one of the presentations there was on health. I also remember looking at a lot of the speakers and watching them guzzle on a plastic bottle filled with yucky looking green stuff. Turns out what they were drinking was rocket fuel for health. And there was a stall in the side of the room, with a banner up saying "Alkalise and Energise". So what was all this about? Could I be tempted to try the "pond water" as my friends have christened it?
Seems like everyone nowadays is touting the benefits of the latest miracle cure for this or that, then the tabloids daily telling us how awful this food or that food is! Who can blame anyone for being skeptical and confused. And I am not easily convinced! So, after participating in the seminar, and bending a cast iron rod with the soft bit of my neck, I went to check it out.

A New Breed of Wine Enthusiast
History of being a wine enthusiast. What they were and what they are. See how they have evolved
Do you remember the episode of Taxi where Father Jim takes a hit off a joint and says, Columbian, Indica strain, South side of the mountains, picked in October, in the morning. Now that wasn’t wine tasting but there are wine enthusiasts that can tell you the strain of grape, the area it was produced in and in some cases, the specific vineyard. What you say? You make your own wine and you consider yourself a wine enthusiast. But do you ferment your own grapes and look down on the people that use kits? Yes there are a few definitions of wine enthusiasts. You may even consider yourself a wine enthusiast if you go to lots of wine tasting events such as the Los Alto Arts and Wine Festival. There are many more events in wine regions all over the world. At these events wine enthusiasts can go to taste the new offerings of both domestic and foreign wineries.

A New Heroin High: Cheese
We are facing a new epidemic, coming originally to Texas through Mexico. Black tar heroin is being converted to "Cheese" a granular brown powder that is appealing to much younger children.
It's been around the Texas area for about two years. So far, it has killed 200 children, and sent many more into drug rehab. What's troubling about this new "designer" heroin is it's relatively low cost and use by children who haven't been into narcotics before. Where does it come from? Mexico, smuggled in and dealt out by Hispanic street dealers and gang members.
This is very bad news for law enforcement and parents. Because the cost ranges from as low as $2.00 to a high of $10.00 per packet, most children can afford this potent and very dangerous high. What exactly is cheese? It's the name for a product derived from black tar heroin, known to kids as "mickey" juice. a street dealer sells to another kid, who adds Tylenol PM crushed and mixed with water The product is then "cooked", evaporating the liquid, until the product looks like brown grainy powder. It is then sold in folded notebook paper for a set price.

A New Idea for the Christmas Cakes
Both in Europe and America it’s a tradition to prepare, for Christmas and Easter, some Typical cakes.
In Italy there’s a wide range of Christmas cakes, which date back to hundreds of years ago; they are homemade or industrial products and they go along with us through the Christmas period, with differences depending on the various regions, provinces and even cities; moreover, the same cake can have, depending on the places, different names. If you are on a diet, the Christmas period allows some gluttony, and we’ll help you out to get a little fatter!
Among cakes, the Christmas guest stars are Pandoro and Panettone. There are many variations for these classical cakes, depending on the region and on the inspiration of the pastry chef. Panettone is the traditional Christmas cake recognizable for its characteristic cupola shape, and it’s one of Milan’s most typical pastry products. In the traditional recipe it’s a soft and baked dough made with eggs, butter, raisins and candied fruit, though in the latest years the pastry industry created many versions, proposing also filled and topped Panettone and Pandoro.

A New Step Forward For Early Detection of Bladder Cancer
Bladder cancer, while not the scary scourge of lung, breast or colon cancer, is still a medium-sized killer, showing up in about 50,000 new people a year and killing about 11,000 of them.
The most we currently do in this country to detect it is to check urine samples once a year for blood that may or may not be visible to the naked eye. The experts with The United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) don’t even recommend that much, since there is not yet evidence that doing so saves lives.
Microscopic levels of blood in the urine are pretty common and usually don’t mean cancer of the bladder (or kidney). Small amounts of blood can come from other things like bladder or prostate infection, kidney stones, toxic medications, heavy exercise, menstruation, sexual activity, and the list goes on.

5 Ways To Get Your Doctors to Care More About You
Have you ever felt like you're just number or a timeslot on your doctor's patient list? I know I've caught more than one doctor peeking at my chart just to remember my name. It's understandable-doctors spend, on average, roughly 19 minutes with each patient, and if you're like me you're there only once a year (sometimes less!). So how can you still get your doctor to treat you like a VIP? You may need to show a little love yourself it turns out. Take this advice from someone who has been on both sides of the stethoscope, as a doctor and cancer patient: Wendy S. Harpham, M.D., FACP, author of Only 10 Seconds to Care shared shares five easy steps you can-and should-take to avoid getting lost in the crowd:

Verbal Viruses: What Words Make You Cringe?
OK, so normally we talk about real viruses here, but let's have fun for a sec, shall we? CNN ran a clip recently that totally made me laugh--a compilation of people's most-hated words, which they called "verbal viruses." Too funny! I definitely have a list of hated-words, how about you?
The words that made it to the CNN most-hated list:
*Recession
*Watchamacallit
*Absolutely
*Hater
Yeah, I don't like the word "recession." It bums me out. I also hated the word "maverick" during the election season (it just got so old!). Current words that make my list:
*Maxi (both the dress and the pad ... shivers up my spine!)

Weird Health News: This Veggie May Help Fight ... Bad Breath
Do you ever worry that you have halitosis? Don't we all! Sure, a breath mint can do the job in a pinch, but wait until you hear what unusual veggie is thought to cure a case of dragon breath too...
Cucumbers! Weird, right?
My friend Lecia, who writes the beautiful blog, A Day That Is Dessert (and who I profiled last month about her battle with breast cancer), wrote about the lesser-known health benefits of the humble ol' cucumber recently, and I was fascinated.
"Just one cucumber contains vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, folic acid, vitamin C, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium and zinc," she shares, paraphrasing an in-the-know person.

What Are Your Health Sins?
Of course, we all try to be as healthy as we can, right? But nobody's perfect, and we mess up. And, well, we get lazy. What healthy thing are you lazy about (or just plain don't do)? Here's the kind-of-surprising thing I'm sometimes guilty of...
****
I never--ever--used to do this, but yikes, I'm developing a bad habit. Here's my confession: Sometimes after I've already brushed my teeth (and flossed--in the right order!), I will sneak back downstairs for a snack, and then ... drum roll ... I'll "forget" to re-brush. It's laziness, really. Geez, I know better. Hello, cavities!
What are your health sins?

Meghan McCain's Busty Photo: Inappropriate? Or Further Proof That the World Is Frightened by Cleavage?
Did you guys hear about the Meghan McCain photo scandal? The sometimes outspoken daughter of former presidential candidate John McCain snapped a very chesty shot of herself recently and posted it on Twitter. Let's just say that people REACTED to it...
She was just having a quiet night in, reading an Andy Warhol biography--but after Meghan McCain posted a photo of herself with the book, she set off thousands of Twitter users and bloggers who called the photo "too racy," "inappropriate," and some even went so far as to call McCain a "slut."
At first McCain responded by saying she was "hurt" and that she was considering deleting her Twitter account as a result (you may recall that Miley Cyrus deleted her account for similar reasons), but McCain's most recent update notes that she's keeping her account and that she now says posting such a photo was a mistake, even though she says she wasn't trying to be a sexpot--she always wears tank tops when she's hanging out and relaxing at home.

Fitness News: Don't Have Time for Hours in the Gym? Good News--15 Minutes Works Too
One of the biggest complaints I hear from people is "I don't have time to do what it takes to get fit." If you think that getting fit has to take hours a day, think again. A growing body of research reminds us of the power of short bursts of exercise ...
Got 15 minutes? Then you can get fit. In past years there has been a lot of attention on the effectiveness of intense interval training--meaning instead of going on a moderately paced 45 minute jog, you'd break it up into shorter sprints, with rests in between. And a growing body of evidence shows that it does a body good.
"High-intensity interval training is twice as effective as normal exercise," said Jan Helgerud, an exercise expert at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, who spoke to MSNBC. "This is like finding a new pill that works twice as well ... we should immediately throw out the old way of exercising."

Feeling Grouchy? Try Jennifer Aniston's Crankiness Cure
If you were a famous actress and feeling a tad grouchy, and you could have (presumably) absolutely anything you wanted to snap yourself out of it, what would you choose? Check out Jennifer Aniston's answer (hint: it's very simple and refreshing)...
I totally gave it away with that unintentional (I swear!) pun, didn't I? Yep: she drinks water. Lots of it, she says (well, I think she technically cursed when she described just how much), explaining that she "dehydrate(s) badly" and gets "cranky" when she stops drinking water.
Jen's onto something here. The side effects of dehydration include tiredness, hunger, and headaches--those would make just about anybody cranky, no?

Feel-Good Friday: What One Thing Are You Happy About Today? (Me? My Book Cover!)
My dears, it's been a long and hectic week (at least for me), so why don't we focus on what's going right? Let's have a feel-good moment: What one thing are you happy about or grateful for this week? I'm so excited about the cover for my upcoming novel, which I can't wait to show you (after the jump)...
My happy, feel-good moment this week? The official book cover for my debut novel, The Violets of March, which is out in August from Penguin (I know, forever away!). I finally got the green light to share the cover with the world, and it's been so exciting. This image not only makes me giddy to look at, it also represents months and months of hard work, so it's a very happy sight for me. Do you like it? I'm 100-percent smitten!

Funny Question: Do You Read Into Those Messages on Your Tea Bags?
Lately I've been obsessed with Good Earth tea--you know, the naturally sweet and spicy (no sugar added of course) caffeine-free tea that tastes like orange peel and cinnamon (mmm!)? Well, each tea bag comes with a little quote or message. I find myself reading too deeply into them, as if they're little fortunes, or something. Crazy, right? Do you do the same?
In her post, "Shi* My Tea Bag Says" (giggle!), Briana from BlissTree wrote about some of the funny things she's read on a tea bag.
I have to admit to reading a little too deeply into the messages on my tea bags. But sometimes they just make zero sense. Take the tea bag memo I got last week, for example, which went something like this:

Have You Ever Kept a Secret About Your Health?
Oh my goodness, did anyone else watch Project Runway last night? Holy moly, it was emotional. Here's what happened...
The designers were tasked with creating a signature fabric, using inspiration from their past. One of the designers, Mondo Guerra, made an exquisite pair of high-waisted, brightly colored pants made out of fabric with big plus signs all over it. His inspiration? A secret he had been keeping for a decade--the plus signs represented his HIV-positive status. Even his parents didn't know.
Although he was planning to keep his inspiration to himself, he eventually told his story to the judges on the runway. Once it was out, he said he finally felt free. I don't think there was a dry eye on that runway.

Having a Bad Skin Day? The Surprising Link Between Acne and Suicide
Have you ever had a breakout--large or small--and felt like it ruined your whole day/week? Honestly, I have. I'm the first to admit that a pimple--as small it may seem--can affect the way we feel about ourselves. But researchers have taken this thinking a step further, noting that acne has been linked to suicidal thinking ...
Having a bad skin day? I am. I can go months and months with clear skin, then--bam--a stress blemish hits. Ever get those?
But while, for most of us, an occasional zit is annoying, it's not the end of the world. Sadly, for some, bad acne can trigger a host of mental health issues, say researchers. In fact, according to a Norwegian study, teens who have bad acne are more than twice as likely to have mental health problems and at a higher risk for suicidal thoughts.

Holy Candy Bar! Chocolate Might Be A "Super Fruit"?
Okay, chocolate is a lot of things: sweet, creamy, nom nom nom-y. And we've even heard lots of good news about how dark chocolates contain some heart-protective antioxidants. But could the dark stuff actually be as good for us as fruit?
According to this new study in Chemistry Central Journal--by the Hershey Center for Health and Nutrition (yes, that Hershey... of candy bar and kisses fame)--cocoa powder has more antioxidant power than fruit juice.
When researchers "compared the antioxidant activity in cocoa powder and fruit powders they found that, gram per gram, there was more antioxidant capacity, and a greater total flavanol content, in the cocoa powder."

Imagine a World Without Crunches: Some Experts Are Saying Don't Do Them
We did a lot of crunches in my fitness boot camp last month. Did I like them? Not even a tiny bit. Good news for crunch haters: Some experts say they may be heading to the fitness blacklist ...
****
If you think doing 100-crunches a day is doing wonderful things for your abs and your overall fitness, you could be wrong, say some experts. That's Fit recently reported that crunches may not only hinder your progress, but they could also put mega-strain on the weakest part of your back.
"We're always told to bend at the waist and lift with the legs when picking up something heavy to prevent a back injury," writes blogger Ashley Neglia. "Well, a crunch is the same kind of motion, only you're lying down instead of standing up. Repeatedly bending over during crunch sessions slowly breaks down spinal disks, creating a disk bulge or herniation, which can cause back pain, weakness and tingling."

Important Health Memo: Don't Eat This (Potentially Deadly) Halloween Candy
There may be lots of spooky things about Halloween, but candy shouldn't be frightening (aside from the fat and calories). Still, health experts are warning that a common chocolate candy that turns up at Halloween parties and in goodie bags for kids could be deadly. The details after the jump.

Canadian health officials are warning people not to eat chocolate covered "gold coins"--you know those little round chocolates clad in gold wrappers? The coins were sold at Costco stores in Canada and may contain melamine, a white powder used in plastic making that is highly toxic. Sound familiar? It's because it was first discovered in dog food, then in baby formula.

Life and Death Experiences: Have You Ever Had a Close Call (I Did, Yesterday)
Have you ever had a moment where you nearly missed an accident or something really scary and thought, "I'm so happy to be alive!"? That happened to me yesterday ...
Yesterday, I was driving with my kids on the freeway (I-5) in Seattle when suddenly--out of nowhere--a huge metal axe (like the type used to chop down a huge tree) flew off of semi truck and spun like a baton in the air. I saw it coming toward me, and my body stiffened. I couldn't merge right or left, there were cars all around me. And then the axe--flying at 60+ miles per hour--swooped down and missed my windshield by 1 foot. It hit the road (and I could hear the crash right next to my car), then bounced up and rammed into the passenger-side door of a Volvo sedan to my left (no one was injured).

Just Asking: Do Any of You Actually Drink Breves? (You Know, Half-and-Half Instead of Milk)
In case you're a breve newbie, here's the low down: It's like a latte, but instead of milk they steam up pure half-and-half. When I saw a (rather slender) woman ordering one at a cafe recently, I went home and Googled the nutrition info: 47 grams of fat in a 16 ounce cup. Yikes. So I have to know: Do you or anyone you know actually drink breves?
I once had a sip of a friend's breve several years ago, and it was delicious. But can you say heart-attack in a cup? I've since decided that if I were given a few months to live, I'd have one of these drinks every morning. Just because.
Tell me, do you drink breves now and then? If so, how in the world do you justify them? Skip lunch and just have a breve? After all, they pack about 550 calories.

If you were to guess what body part you don't think much about or do much beneficial, proactive things for, what would you guess? Researchers surprising answer about the declining health of this body part across America...
As women, when it comes to proactive health care, we do a lot of talking about cancer prevention, warding off heart disease and keeping our bones strong and healthy. (Yeah, we also talk a lot about fitness and nutrition as it relates to health and weight loss too.)
But there is one major area of the body that often gets neglected, and yet it's very important to your overall health. Can you guess?

New Show Confronts Size, Body Image and "Fat Camp"
People are buzzing about a new ABC Family show set to air on June 28 starring Nikki Blonsky (from Hairspray) in a drama about a teen's journey through fat camp and body acceptance. Will you watch it? Here are my thoughts ...
"I couldn't be more thrilled that the main characters are all plus-sized," actress Nikki Blonsky said. "It's ground-breaking in that way. I think kids will be able to relate because they can finally say about someone on television: that person looks like me."
Critics are already cheering about lines from show, like this one from Blonsky's character: "Everyone wants us to hate our bodies. Well, I refuse to."

U.S. Olympian Carrie Johnson Speaks About Crohn's Disease
If you've never heard of Crohn's Disease, a chronic intestinal disorder, Carrie Johnson, the only U.S. female flat-water kayaker to qualify for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, wants you to know about the lesser-known digestive disorder that she and many others struggle with. Read our interview!
Q: When did you first suspect something was wrong with your health?
CJ: In January of 2003, I started feeling tired and lost most of my appetite. I actually lost about 20 pounds overall, which was crazy. Finally, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. It was a relief to know what illness I actually had.
Q: Were your doctors quick to diagnose you, or were they puzzled by your symptoms?

Watch Me Diet: How to Lighten Up Your Sandwich
Call me crazy, but I don't like most sandwiches. (This makes packing a lunch a huge ordeal--ugh!) But yesterday's tip on watching your condiments caught my eye, since I have lots of sandwich rules on the rare occasions I'm forced to eat them.
My Exactly What to Eat to Lose Weight tip for yesterday reminded me that I can save 180 calories just by switching from mayo to mustard. I've long given up on mayo in order to slim down my sammy--I prefer hummus--but I'll never part with a slice of cheese. When I'm really watching my weight, I'll throw out a piece (OK, or maybe a quarter of a piece) of the bread, so my sandwich is open-faced.

First, here's the recipe for the sauce, excerpted from Momofuku by David Chang and Peter Meehan:

One Brave Woman Raises Her Hand and Asks: "Is My Vagina ... Smelly?"
It's OK if you're cringing a little right now. When I read a post over on Yahoo Shine about vaginal odors (oh that phrase just hits you the wrong way, doesn't it?), I cringed a teeny bit too. But why? It's a perfectly reasonable thing to discuss among us gals, right? So let's talk: Have you ever been concerned about the way you smell ... down there? Read on, my dears...
"I was just wondering if all vaginas smell the same," a Yahoo Shine reader writes. "It sounds really weird but ... I can't help but think mine smells wrong or different from other women's. I can smell mine after I wipe and on my dirty underwear... I'm just not sure if that is normal or not. I have been tested for STD's and everything, so why does mine have such a distinct scent/taste? Can other people smell it too?"

The Kind-of-Weird Exercise You Might Just Fall in Love With
When it comes to getting your cardio for the day, do you ever just feeling like going on a fast walk (especially when the dog is begging and it's a gorgeous day)? Some people are raving about a new trend called "mindful walking," which combines moving with meditation. Read on to see if it might work for you.
Best Health had a good article about mindful walking recently. Here's a quick recap of how to give it a try:
Get a mantra: During treatment for breast cancer, one fitness expert and author who was interviewed in the article encourages people to ditch the iPod and instead focus on repeating a healthy mantra such as "moving, breathing," "I am healthy, I am healing," or "God is with me" while walking.

The Exercise That Might Help You Get Pregnant (That Is, if You Want to)
Have a case of baby lust? If you're trying to get pregnant, you've probably heard of all kinds of wacky things that some say may increase your fertility (headstands after sex, "fertility blend" teas, and I won't even go into the details of what some say to do with egg whites). But, I recently heard about how one exercise might increase your pregnancy odds (that is, if you want them to be increased!)...
****
According to women's health expert Alice Domar, Ph.D., you might try a little yoga! While it's hard to say if a downward-facing dog pose will give you any real boost in the ovulation department, it has been shown to lower stress levels, which experts believe may play a role in fertility issues.

B.Y.O. Sheets? Would You Take Linens with You on Vacation?
Because it's so cold and snowy in New York right now, I've had vacation on the brain. But while I'm dreaming of sun and surf, one writer at Shine is thinking about sheets. Hotel linens, to be precise. Do you trust that when you check in, your sheets will be clean?
I'm seriously allergic to everything--dust, pollen, animals, mold, you name it--and religiously wash my sheets in hot water every two weeks to keep from wheezing. But even I think packing your own sheets on a trip is a bit much. Who wants to do laundry when you get home, anyway?
Do hotel linens freak you out? Are you worried about germs when you check into a hotel?

5 Lies Women Tell Each Other About Their Health and Happiness
Let's just be honest for a sec. When it comes to our health and our happiness, I think sometimes we fib--would you agree? Maybe it's the white lie you told your friend, so she wouldn't feel bad, or the bold-faced lie you told your BF about your weight. I've compiled a list of the most common lies I've heard (alright, I'm guilty of some, too...). And tell me yours!
****
1. "I weigh 125 pounds." (When you really weigh 140 pounds.) I've known so many people who cling to a favorite number--125, 135, 150--for dear life, even if their real weight is something entirely different. Why do we do this? Why can't we just be honest? (P.S. When I asked you about whether you lie about your size, some of you confessed that you lie about your weight pretty frequently.)

True Health Confessions: "I Eat Butter, Straight From the Fridge"
Recently I stumbled across a Web site devoted to strange "addictions." For instance, did you know that there are fan sites devoted to people who love the smell of gasoline or can't get enough salt? And then there are the folks that love butter.
A quick visit to the butter fan site "Butter Is What I Crave" reveals that there are people who'll take butter any way they can get it--slathered on top of cookies, drizzled over scrambled eggs, and, well, straight from the fridge.
There's nothing wrong with a little butter now and then (I mean, who doesn't like the stuff!?), but I found this site to be a sad reminder of how controlling food can be, and just how strong our cravings can get (they're as powerful as drug cravings, say researchers!).

The sky is blue, the pavement is toasty and the smell of street meat wafts through the air.
Summer is here in Toronto. And it’s just about peak season for Trifon Bukuvalas, who is counting on the scent of grilling hot dogs to seduce passersby.
The hot dog vendor has been selling his fare at the entrance way of the Toronto Ferry Docks seven days a week for the last 12 years. He counts on his lunchtime regulars, but hopes to pull in potential customers with an astonishing range of toppings, from sliced green olives to potato chip crumbles.
Bukuvalas won’t reveal how many hot dogs he sells every day — the competition is always watching — but the vendor is getting ready to grill a lot of dogs.
Hot summer weekends, they are the busiest,” he says with a knowing nod. Most of his hungry customers are families on a day trip to Centre Island and their favourite topping — other than ketchup — is tomatoes. “They are freshly chopped,” says Bukuvalas. “That is what they like.
We all know a hot dog will never equal a crunchy, veggie-filled salad for its health value, even if the meat is topped with fresh-cut tomatoes. But we wondered what you get when you succumb to the summer-time lure of a barbecued all-beef hotdog nestled in a toasted egg bun.
Nothing good, of course.
There is not much you can say that is redeeming about a hotdog,” says registered dietitian Zannat Reza. “Once or twice in the baseball season, having a hotdog for a treat is fine. But just make sure you balance out the rest of the day or the next day by cutting back on salty foods and eating lots of fruits and vegetables.
At 560 calories, the hot dog is just slightly on the high end of calories you should consume for a single meal, especially since that number doesn’t include a drink. Or a swirl of ice cream from the truck parked down the way.
But Reza says it’s the amount of fat and sodium in the hot dog that should relegate it to being a very occasional treat.
The hot dog we tried contained 24 grams of fat, about one-third of the average woman’s daily allotment. And it had 2,239 mg of sodium, just shy of the maximum recommended amount a person should eat in a day.
A greater nutritional concern is that hot dogs are a processed meat that has been cured with salt and preservatives, Reza says.
It’s one of those foods you want to limit as much as you can.
Research has linked eating processed meats to an increased risk of heart disease and cancer.
In fact, a study published Monday by researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health found each 50 gram daily serving of processed meat, such as bacon, sausage or deli meats, is associated with a 42 per cent higher risk of developing heart disease and a 19 per cent higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes. One hot dog weighs about 50 grams.
Don’t go looking for healthier fare at the hot dog stand. The veggie and turkey equivalents on those grills likely contain just as much sodium as a beef hot dog.
The soy and turkey hotdogs have the halo around them, but they are still processed,” says Reza. “It’s best to go for a food that is closer to its source.
Despite a dismal nutritional review, Bukuvalas will continue to enjoy eating hot dogs.
I like my own product,” he says. “I have one a couple times a week.
VERDICT: Give in to the lure of street meat only rarely.
