Addiction Treatment Services - Short Term Expense For Long Term Benefit

inpatient program

Inpatient or outpatient? That one simple question determines the amount of money that is spent on addiction treatment. Inpatient programs cost more. Doctors believe, and research backs them, that an inpatient program is much more likely to be successful. The cost of inpatient can range to $40,000. The average cost of treatment estimated by the National Substance Abuse Treatment Services Survey (N-SATSS) is a mere $7,000 monthly. Inpatient programs regularly last more than a single month. Public funding pays a large part of all spending in the area of substance abuse treatment. Its estimated 80 percent of the money for these programs comes from the public treasury.

Addicted to Charms for Bracelets or Are You Just Shopping for Charms?

jewelry stores

Are you struggling with an addiction to shopping for charms? I've always thought that charm bracelets were cute and stylish, elegant even... but I never thought I'd find myself addicted to charms. As it turns out, I just can't have enough "charm", or charms for bracelets that is.

My addiction started when I purchased my first bracelet. I didn't really put a lot of thought into what I was buying, I just wanted a pretty charm bracelet. It was absolutely gorgeous, genuine Italian Moreno Glass. Yes, it was expensive, but this was a special treat to myself.

I received several compliments on my new bracelet. I was really excited about my new and fashionable way to show my love of Italy. Venice has always been my favorite city. I wasn't thinking about that when I bought the piece, but it got the wheels turning on how I could justify buying more jewelry by making it more relevant because of it's personal significance.

Addiction - The Financial Problem

long time

One in 100 American citizens was incarcerated at some time last year in either a city, county, state or federal criminal justice facility. It is estimated that over 60 percent of those incarcerated suffer from either a drug or alcohol abuse problem.

Driving under-the-influence of alcohol is the number one cause of death on our highways. Drug users, including alcohol abusers, whether from overdose or deteriorating health, and diseases like hepatitis, jam up our hospital emergency wards. Yet, their primary problem is actually a treatable disease; Addiction.

Alcoholics and Addicts most often drive without insurance and contribute to high claim payouts for insurance companies, greatly affecting the rates you and I pay for our own insurance, eating away at the insuring company's profits.

Addicted to Food - Losing Weight Tips For Natural Weight Loss

Losing weight

There are many myths that are associated to weight loss. People are backing up their claims with studies and lofty names. But the sad truth is that many are just dragged into an abyss of yet another marketing strategy.

Losing weight tip #1: Less is best.

Surely this is vague enough for people to understand. But less of what? That is the major debate. The answer to this is less of anything frozen, processed and unnatural. Whole is good. Repeat it until you believe it. The less tampered, sweetened and processed something is, the better it is for you.

Losing weight tip #2: Be Fruitarian.

Claims that this is the only truly non-toxic diet can be subject to preference. For someone who has eaten meat for most of their lives, people are just not that willing to give it up. Perhaps increasing consumption of fruits that are both organic and in season is a great effort. Slowly but surely, one's taste buds would be accustomed to something that is grown that something that is raised.
